“We’re just trying to spark the necesary conversations for change,” said actor Mack Wilds to entertainment correspondent Kamaron Leach on the red carpet of FOX’s ‘Shots Fired‘ screening, held in New York on Thursday, March 9th at the Paley Center for Media. The racially-charged, 10-hour series premieres March 22 on FOX.

The broadcast network hosted the ‘Shots Fired’ screening for influencers in New York City, only two days after stopping in Washington, D.C. for more press coverage. Show creators Gina Prince-Bythewood and Reggie Bythewood attended the event with cast members Sanaa Lathan, Stephan James, Mack Wilds, Richard Dreyfuss and Jill Hennesy. Actor Rotimi from Starz’ hit show ‘Power’ was also in attendance.

The cast stopped to speak with Kamaron Leach to dish about the new television series, race in America, and what was the mood on set while filming. Check out the video interview below, subscribe to our YouTube channel, and let us know what your thoughts in the comment section below.
